What can you expect on our retreats?
We take advantage of the peaceful surroundings here to provide you with the perfect balm to a modern busy lifestyle if you are coming from an urban area! Being close to nature is an important part. The programs are highly structured; to make sure your energy is thoroughly transformed by the end of the retreat! We expect you will leave feeling refreshed and relaxed as classes address your specific needs and problems, suitable for beginners and advanced students of Yoga.

Retreat weekends involve hatha yoga, pranayama, optional bhajan singing, relaxation/free time, deep relaxation and the chance to book one-on-one treatments including reflexology and massage. Learn to prepare and enjoy healthy organic vegetarian food is also a highly enjoyable part of the retreats, with vegan cookery expert & yoga teacher, Helen.

Typical programme for one & two day retreats

The practices will be focused on the chosen area/topic described above with dates.


10am – 11.30am Hatha Yoga session  with YSA teacher Helen or Yogachariya Jnandev or Yogacharini Deepika

11:30am Pranayama with Jnandev or Deepika

1pm Group cooking session with Helen, learning how to cook healthy & delicious vegetarian foods

2pm Free time, opportunity to book private therapies

4pm Deep guided relaxation

5.30pm Group cooking session with Helen, learning how to cook healthy & delicious vegetarian foods

7pm Bhajans and Satsang with Jnandev or Deepika


7am – Aarti and quiet sitting

7.30am – 9am Hatha Yoga with Helen, Jnandev or Deepika

9.15am Breakfast

10am Pranayama with Jnandev or Deepika

11am free time

Book a place by emailing or calling 01437 562200. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required in advance to secure your place. Retreats take place subject to a minimum number of bookings.

Group retreats

We can develop a program to suit a group with specific needs, such as cooperative groups, special needs groups, or even a group of friends. Please call or email to discuss your requirements.

Yoga Detox

The detox programme runs a similar schedule to the weekend retreats, however will usually last 4 days and there will be fasting for atleast one day depending on your own body.  We use the shanka prakshalan ancient yogic cleansing technique, which cleanses your entire gastro-intestinal tract. Again according to your own body and level we may do the full cleanse or a partial cleanse.

There is also 12 day programme which is more intense incorporating the Eka-dasi Pranayama (yogic cleansing on a mental and emotional level).  This is for the advanced student and an intense experience.
